This Is It

This is It! This is it! This is it!  Yes, one moment at a time, we are where we are. We may think about where we have been and the many things we have done. Yet, they are the past.  We are now.  This is it!

We can plan a day, a week, a year, a future, yet they are the potential future, and we are always now, not even the same as we were when we started to read this.

This is it. How do we move from past to future?  One brief second at a time, which then begs the question …”If we live one moment at a time, does time exist, or is it an illusion?” Whatever here we are.  This is it. What constitutes a minute, an hour, a lifetime? As we pass along our journey on planet earth, we have sundials, learned methods to tell time by the sun and stars, developed clocks and watches, and have moved into digital time.  Still we, the energy with-in the chariot of the human body, appear to be different over time.  Is that similar to an artist’s ability to paint over the same canvas with a new scene if he/she chooses? Is that like reincarnation, not only within a different body but perhaps a different gender?  This is it. A new thought, a new feeling, a new perspective, a new tear, a new laugh.  What is the force that drives all living creatures? Do rocks have a voice?

This is it. One moment an answer, next moment a question. Continual change! Our awareness, decisions, and movements are in continual motion even when we sleep. We awaken and face a new day while the clock ticks.  I wonder how many ticks have I wasted? How many ticks have I shared? How many ticks do I have left?

This is it! Do we search questing answers?  It is fun to move out of a routine frequently to see, play, laugh, cry, and be forever grateful for friends, pets, experiences, family, and all the mountains and valleys we climb, descend and climb again.   This is it, with great gratitude for each new inspiration allowing the next.  Then does the last expiration begin a brand-new journey, and “This is it” becomes yet, a new adventure?
