I grew up in Ocean Park, Maine. My playground was the beach and ocean, the woods and creeks. My freedom was “Be careful and be home before dark.” My pets were dogs, cats, and a horse.

What I fondly call my ‘Gypsy Feet’ is their call to adventure, curiosity, education, and travel. They have led me to many places, homes, diverse work and play, desert skies, moon glow on water, tenting in the mountains, hitch-hiking across New Zealand, and walking the 500-mile Camino from St John Pied de Port, France, across the Pyrenees into Spain, to Santiago and Finisterre. The trek was so grand I did it again the following year.

Now in my eighth decade, I am in Mexico, gathering many journals, poems, stories, opinions, and philosophies, out of the dust and onto my computer. In no specific order. As I type them up, I will post several to this blog, along with many newer pieces inspired by Prompts.*

I hope some will tickle your heart, excite your mind, trigger debate, and inspire movements and responsibilities to create more kindness and attention to all flora, fauna, and persons upon this remarkable planet. Earth, air, water; minds, hearts, and souls are ripe for much-needed care.

*Writing to a Prompt is a fun way to keep your mind sharp and writing fun. It is especially fun to do with a small group of friendly writers. A Prompt is presented to the group; a clock is set for about 40 minutes to write about the prompt.  You can read your writing to the group or not. You may give feedback to the writer or not. All feedback is positive  about the writing.

I suggest you search the internet for more in-depth guidelines regarding this process.
